1,306 Montenegrin companies achieved export over the last year, the Customs Administration told Pobjeda daily.
According to their data, around 3% of Montenegrin companies exported their products having in mind the fact there are approx. 42,000 companies operating in MNE.
It seems that the greatest Montenegrin exporters in 2018 were Niksic-based Uniprom (owned by businessman Veselin Pejović), the Electric Power Company of Montenegro, Jugopetrol, Hemomont, Tosčelik, Nikšić-based Gradir Montenegro, Uniprom Metali, Plantaže, Nikšić-based SS Alga and Daido Metal from Kotor.
The Statistical Office of Montenegro, MONSTAT, provided data showing that the exported products in the last year were worth EUR 400 million, which is by 7.7% higher compared to 2017.
In addition, Montenegrin companies still mostly export aluminum, bauxite and electricity, as was the case in the previous years, while the last year’s increased export rate was greatly furthered by the increased electricity export.
