The story of the 2022 budget goes from a fairy tale to hell, and in the meantime, a projected debt of €1.4 billion is a bit neglected.
The Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare claims that we’re not going to enter into another borrowing. They foresaw it, as the people would say, “in case of emergency.”
Speaking in a TV show screened on the public broadcaster, TVCG, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare, Branko Krvavac, said there would not be another borrowing if the government’s proposal for the budget law was passed.
This is, indeed, a miracle – the same budget foresees borrowing, but it won’t happen in case it’s adopted. Such a confusion.
There are so many amendments and proposals for the budget law, that MPs won’t even know what they’re voting for, particularly not who’s going to finance it all. It looks like Minister Spajic introduced a new practice in the parliament – the political parties are competing to propose as many populist laws and amendments as possible.
