Everyone who deals with the health system, especially those who make decisions, must be aware that Montefarm cannot have claims from the Ministry of Finance, because the invoices would go to the Ministry of Finance, and not to the Health Insurance Fund (FZO) and public health institutions, for whose needs they procure medicines and medical supplies, Sead Cirgic, SD official and former FZO director has told CdM.
Therefore, he adds, Montefarm’s obligations relate to claims from FZO and public health institutions, which is why such announcements from institutions that know this are worrying.
Only Montefarm can tell us in what relation these claims of €73m are, but it certainly cannot claim a single cent from the Ministry of Finance, let alone €43m.
He points out that neither Montefarm nor any public health institution can count on any other funds than those available within the FZO budget. Therefore, he adds, for the amount of €43m, twice as many medicines were procured, that is, €86m worth of medicines were procured – one time in 2021 and the second time in 2022.
