Good morning! Several days ago, George Friedman published a pessimistic article titled ‘The World Aflame’ in which, among other things, he mentioned that Serbia, according to his well-informed sources, was preparing for war. If Serbia were to decide on this suicidal move, it’d only be the result of pressure from Moscow, and that’s why the December elections in that country become the interest of everyone in the region, as prevention is better than cure.
Is Vucic preparing for the war?
George Friedman is a geopolitical author and a man who became famous for his talent for forecasting. He also had failures, when he foresaw a conflict between Japan and America at the end of the 1980s, but more often, due to his accurate predictions of geopolitical trends, he earned the attention of the largest media, who often contacted him for comment and analysis. In his latest article for his website ‘Geopolitical Realities’, Friedman paints a bleak picture of a conflict-ridden world. In the second paragraph of the text, he mentions Kosovo as one of the focal points, relying on “people he trusts”, who convinced him that Serbia is preparing for the conflict.
Having in mind the event from September, i.e. state-sponsored terrorism, when one Kosovo policeman and three terrorists lost their lives, as well as the accumulation of military equipment on the border with its southern neighbor, Serbia really seems as if it’s ready to implement just such a diabolical suicide plan. Knowing how prone to diabolical scenarios the people of her current government are, we shouldn’t be surprised. False flag operations, like the one with the Panda cafe, the sale of ammunition to the enemy in Western Bosnia, the planned assassination of Dick Marty, the murder of diplomats in Libya – these are just some of the diabolical KGB-like operations in which the Serbian intelligence was involved. So this in Kosovo could also be the result of pressure from Russia, due to whose blackmail the Serbian leadership had to create or at least try to create a scandal. On the other hand, the failure of the entire operation could have been the result of Vucic’s own hesitation and tip-off to the Kosovo authorities in his desire to satisfy all parties. Bearing in mind the experience with the Serbian security forces, sacrificing a couple of lives of their agents means nothing to them. Particularly in plans and operations that don’t make any sense.
Due to the unpredictability of the Vucic regime and the fact that authoritarianism in Serbia is consolidated and strong, it’s very important to support any possible change in that country. I know that the majority of the opposition can be worse than Vucic when it comes to relations in the region, but it’s better to have a broad politically unstable government in a country with bad intentions, than a consolidated autocrat with diabolical intentions and a regime deeply involved in organized crime, drug and arms trafficking on a global level. The vampire appeasement strategy practiced by the West in Serbia is not working. It just feeds the goblin. The region must recognize the common interest and create a common belt against the threat posed by the Vucic regime. Like the Baltic countries did it towards Russia, for example. With the rubbings that Serbia nurtures between Bosniaks and Croats in Bosnia or between Albanians in Albania and Kosovo, and finally between Albanians and Montenegrins, it will be very difficult to unite and prevent the security catastrophe announced by people like Friedman.
