The new Law on Higher Education of Montenegro, which, among other things, foresees the possibility of studying according to the old model (3+1+1+3), should have an effect on better access to the labour market of students, given that the Bachelor’s degree was not recognizable as a level of study that enabled employment, says the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation for the Gradski portal. The University of Montenegro (UCG) points out that the changes will not have negative repercussions on students.
The Ministry has added that this legal solution is the result of the work of representatives of all key actors in higher education, including academic staff from various scientific fields from the UCG, the University of the Mediterranean, the University of Donja Gorica, the University of the Adriatic, the Agency for Quality Control and Assurance, the Montenegrin Academy of Science and Art, students, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and the NGO sector, as well as the team of the Ministry of Education.
It is added that an effort was made to analyze previous experiences, in order to change solutions that were widely criticized, such as the study model, but also keep the good ones.
