Appearing as a guest in the programme of radio Tivat, he said that more and more guests were coming from Spain, France, Italy, as well as from the Middle and Far East. The number of Russian visitors is somewhat lower.
Mr Kalezic said that for the first time one Japanese man had bought an apartment in Porto Montenegro.
Before the summer began, another residential building “Ksenija” was opened in Porto Montenegro. Out of 47 apartments in the building, only a few remained unsold, whereas the expanded marina with 450 berths has been 90% occupied.
Mr Kalezic pointed out that people in Porto, and the very town should pay more attention to employees on ships in the marina.
“There are always a few hundreds of them”, Mr Kalezic said, adding that those are people of medium to high purchasing power and a clientele that keeps coming back, but we are still mot aware that they are important guests.
He pointed out that this was the target group of visitors to the town, which could improve the tourism income.
Mr Kalezic pointed out that Porto Montenegro organised 38 cultural and yachting events, thus justifying predictions that this would be the most exciting summer so far.
“We surpassed last year’s rich offer. It was not easy to raise the standard,” the PR manager said, reminding that residents of Tivat and their guests could, among other things, attend a photo exhibition of the world famous David Hamilton, but also enjoy the works of Tivat painters during this season. They had the chance to attend promotions of books of bestselling authors and to enjoy concerts of the members of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, thanks to the Music Workshop for Wind Instruments.
The exhibition “New Horizons”, prepared by the Belgrade gallery “New Moment”, has been scheduled for tonight. In addition, very important yachting event for Tivat and Montenegro, the fair “MYBA Pop up Superyacht” will be held from 4th to 6th September.
