The Revenue and Customs Administration (UPC) collected €50m in income tax by 30 June. The UPC, headed by Mr Aleksandar Damjanovic, says for Dan that 28,004 taxpayers filed a corporate income tax return inclusive of 30 June.
Last year, the Montenegrin economy fell by 15.2%, which must have led to a drop in corporate taxes. The UPC says that this year’s reported income tax of €60.6m is by €19.4m lower than in 2019, when the income tax liability amounted to €80m for 2020.
Last year, the total gross collection of income tax amounted to €79,540,764, which is €4.5m (6%) above the one in 2019.
