CEGAS has continued recording the ‘DisCrimiNation’ podcast and hosted the Leader of the Europe Now Movement, Milojko Spajic, in the first episode of their second season. They talked about the dual citizenship affair, political stage of Montenegro following the presidential election, Montenegro’s accession to the EU, the Europe Now Program – second round, leadership in the business world and politics, opportunities for the young in Montenegro, crypto industry and contacts with Vitalik Buterin, as well as the overall imagined system and reforms.
“I see a city built alongside Velika Plaza (eng. Long Beach), the Central Business District ‘Cemovsko Polje’, Europe Now 2…,” Mr Spajic mentioned some of his visions.
From the EU’s perspective, he said, Montenegro can’t offer a lot.
“We’re a poor country on the outskirts of Europe, a small country. They’ll tell “you have a beautiful nature, you have this, you have that” only out of politeness, but the truth is – they don’t mean it. They all already have their beautiful countries, and are not interested in us. Whenever those politicians come to the Western Balkans, they visit several countries, and Montenegro’s always last on their list,” Mr Spajic underlined.
However, even though we’re not in a great position, we shouldn’t think about their way of thinking, but rather make a great country for ourselves – a country that everyone would want to see as part of the EU.
