Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said that there was no reason to postpone the census, but he added that he was ready to offer to postpone the start of the census by 4 days.
He said that he would talk to the parliamentary majority, and that he was ready to send DPS an offer to postpone the census by four days until 3 December.
“And let’s see if the intentions are good or bad”, PM Spajic told reporters in Ulcinj.
He added that there was a maximum level of control.
“Each point of the agreement we signed has been fully fulfilled”, PM Spajic said.
He also said that MONSTAT announced that it had “a sufficient number of enumerators”.
“Today, MONSTAT also presented the specification for the software”, PM Spajic said.
Earlier today the director of the MONSTAT Statistical Office, Miroslav Pejovic, said that the census of population, households and apartments in Montenegro would start the following day and that all the conditions for its implementation had been met. He invited citizens to participate in that process.
Acting DPS leader Danijel Zivkovic said earlier today that not all conditions from the agreement had been met. Therefore, DPS cannot participate in the census, he added.
