Pejanovic Djurisic had two separate meetings on a Forum for international security in Halifax, with new minister of defense of Canada Harjit Sajjan and with Robert Work, deputy of the secretary of defense of the United States of America.
It was emphasized that Sajjan expressed full support of Canada to Euroatlantic aspirations of Montenegro.
During the meeting with Work, deputy of the secretary of defense of the USA, it was discussed about the results and efforts that Montenegro is making in all areas, with special attention to the areas that are directly related to joining the NATO Alliance and receiving the invitation for membership.
Work congratulated on the results and agreed that Montenegro managed to show the partners its political maturity and reliability by the dynamics and quality of the reforms. “He emphasized that USA will continue to follow and support the progress of Montenegro in reaching full membership in the Alliance”, it was concluded in the announcement.
