According to the capital, Podgorica, the Secretariat for Social Welfare, alongside the Montenegrin Red Cross, provided the additional 60 packages for users of social benefits, primarily for single mothers and families with many children.

As Podgorica residents have already urged that the state should help Mr Dragan Roganović-Šomi, employees of the Security and Rescue Service have handed a basic care package to him in order to be able to cope with these difficult days.

The capital Podgorica also recalled that they donated €65.000 to the National Coordination Body, and the whole sum was forwarded to the Red Cross of Montenegro so that they can ensure care packages – food and hygiene kits – for the most vulnerable pensioners and Roma population.

The capital, according to them, has implemented a range of activities since the coronavirus emerged, and the total value of their assistance amounts to around €200.000.

As soon as the coronavirus appeared, they donated €52,000 to the Clinical Center followed by a €26.000 donation made by the town companies.

After the coronavirus jumped in Tuzi, the capital immediately donated €50.000 to their friends.

“The capital organized an activity and all the employees were obliged to give up on the part of their March earnings and thus help fighting Covid-19, while the mayor and his deputies gave up on the entire amount of their March earnings, i.e. they all donated the entire sum to the National Coordination Body.“
