He also commented on the position of Russia which obviously doesn’t want an expansion of NATO.
“I said many times what the public already knows, we all know the position of Russia regarding the NATO. Russia has its official position. We also know that NATO has a policy of expansion as its great value, and that strategic interest of Montenegro is to become a member of the Alliance. We are awaiting the 1st of December with no doubts about the NATO invitation”, said Vujanovic.
Vujanovic is convinced that after we receive NATO invitation and after we become the member of the Alliance, we will be able to afirm our international relations with good tradition.
“So, membership of Montenegro in NATO is not against anyone, not against Russia or traditionally good relations with Russia, it is the choice of Montenegro through its sovereignity, and European and Euroatlantic integrations are at the best interest of the citizens and I am sure that after this invitation our European integrations will be faster too”, concluded Vujanovic.
