Israeli national Yoram Frig, 53, accused of being part of a criminal gang that planned multiple terrorist attacks during Montenegro’s parliamentary elections in October 2016, voluntarily surrendered to Montenegrin authorities and was interrogated at the Special State Prosecutor’s Office yesterday, writes Pobjeda daily.
Mr Frig, accompanied by a lawyer from Cyprus, came to the Special Prosecutor’s Office, where, according to Pobjeda, he presented information about the operations in October 2016, his own role, his engagement and his nine-day stay in Montenegro ahead of the parliamentary elections.
He has been interrogated for several hours and was speaking about his arrival to MNE in detail, not denying that he brought with himself a wireapping prevention device. However, he did not deny that the same device could be used for electronic surveillance measures as well.
Israeli national confirmed to our investigators that he came to MNE ahead of the parliamentary elections on the invitation of the ex-CIA agent Joseph Assad, and that he was supposed to provide electronic services for gathering of the Democratic Front, DF.
He didn’t know that any bloodshed had been planned and that the aim of the actions was to undermine the constitutional order of Montenegro and stagger the state apparatus.
During his stay in the capital, Podgorica, he used driving services of persons close to the DF – activists of that political party.
