Privatization and Capital Projects Council adopted today Proposal for the Decision on the 2020 Privatization Plan. This year, the plan included only methods of classical privatization, not the affirmation of tourism destinations and business entities die to new possibilities offered by the recently adopted Law on Private and Public Partnership, said representatives of the Government’s PR Bureau.
At the end of March last year, Council adopted the Report of the Tender commission for privatization on the results of the public tender for the sale of 56,4806% of share capital of the Institute for physical medicine, rehabilitation and rheumatology “Dr Simo Milošević”, Igalo and authorized the commission to start negotiations over the conclusion of sale contract with the consortium consisting of Philibert company and Montenegrin Vile Oliva LLC.
However, today the Council considered the Report of the Commission and rejected it.
“Such decision was result of long and constructive discussion. It was stated that one bid for the purchase of shares had failed to provide competition and that there had been considerable changes on the global market”, said Government representatives.
The Council suggested that preparation and implementation of public tenders for the privatization should start this year for the following companies: HG Budvanska Rivijera, Castello Montenegro and Institute for Black Metallurgy Nikšić.
In addition, Council proposed continuation of the preparation and implementation of the public tender for the sale of the former location for military barracks Radoje Dakić in Žabljak.
The following companies will be on stockexchange: Agrotransport, Metal product, Montenegrotourist, Crnagoracoop, New Tobacco Combine and Kotor Project.
The Council considered Report on the results of the tender for long-term lease of the land in Kabala, Herceg Novi, Report on the findings related to the Agreement on the purchase of shares of Kontejnerski terminal, as well as Report on the investments, in accordance with the Decision on the long-term lease of the land in Luštica.
The Council also considered Information on the implementation of activities on the grounds of the Agreement on the long-term lease of military and tourism complex Mediteran in Žabljak.
The Council considered the request of the Vektra Boka company from 3 December 2019 and it adopted four information prepared by the Commission for Property Affairs.
