Prime Minister, Milojko Spajic, will face MPs at Prime Minister’s Questions on July 6, with topics ranging from EU integration and healthcare to regional development, infrastructure and foreign affairs.
MPs are interested, among other things, in the benefits of Montenegro’s EU accession, the state of the healthcare system, development plans for the country’s less-developed northern region, the construction of the Bojana bridge linking Montenegro and Albania, the standard of living of workers, and the legal status of the Bokelj Navy.
Other questions will focus on allegations that some passengers arriving from Serbia were denied entry during the 2021 and 2025 local elections in Niksic, the reopening of Sveti Stefan and controversial remarks by a foreign ministry adviser describing Serbia as “the sick man on the Danube”.
MPs will also seek updates on the EU’s planned financial support for Montenegro, estimated at €3.2 billion under the bloc’s future budget framework, and ask what practical benefits full EU membership would bring to citizens, including farmers, young people, entrepreneurs and pensioners. PM Spajic is also expected to answer questions on the government’s broader development priorities ahead of Montenegro’s planned accession to the EU.
